Hello, my name is Melanie, I received my undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley in Philosophy, attended Medical School at UC Irvine, and residency in Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco.
I served as an attending physician in the Women's Mood and Hormone clinic with Dr. Louann Brizendine for several years. I am currently on the faculty at UCSF as an assistant professor.
I have training in several additional areas, including;

I understand that seeking help for mental health concerns can be daunting. I provide a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable discussing your challenges.

Your mental health journey is unique to you. My treatment plans are made to meet your specific needs, ensuring that you receive the most effective care possible.

I believe in treating the whole person, not just symptoms. My integrated approach addresses both the biological and psychological aspects of mental health, fostering lasting well-being.
